Oxfam Italy is looking for volunteers from 8 to 24 December 2012 to wrap gifts in 31 stores of a national chain in Tuscany, Umbria and Liguria (Sarzana).

Volunteers will make gifts in exchange for a donation, to finance the project “Grow” in Brazil, Haiti, Palestine, Sri Lanka and Italy (for awareness-raising and information).

OPENING OF “WINE PASQUI” AREZZO

With about 100 labels of wine all belonging to the Province of Arezzo, the Wine shop PASQUI opened Saturday, Dec. 17 at Via Oberdan 61 Arezzo, where you can find local wines from the tuscan Province of Arezzo and attend an active cultural center, as well as hosting numerous meetings and events, exhibits works of contemporary art, offers tastings and book presentations.

Point of sale labels of “Le Strade del Vino” (local public consortium for the promotion of local wines) the Wine shop “Pasqui” offers wines from all over the province: in one place you can find many manufacturers at competitive prices. A first step in a project for the valorisation of local products.
The land of Arezzo always produce excellent wines, including many productions including eight denominations of origin. The red wines are always known and appreciated white wines but also give great thanks to the expression of our land, the sun and the passion of those who have it by the cultivation and production.

The location is very suggestive: in fact, the wine bar is located in the former Church of Our Lady’s Cathedral, built between 1596 and 1606 and restored by the present owner of the Superintendent under the direction of Arezzo. Vasari himself recalls the beauty and it is certainly an opportunity to enjoy a piece of our city for so long remained hidden.

For the inauguration of the paintings are also exhibited by Antonella Cedro, Arezzo artist for years working on the preparation of canvases and paintings that experiment with techniques and materials with a surprising result of excitement, color and energy.

Over the next month will host the Enoteca other authors and events.

Preview of “La Notte Rosa” event in Arezzo

Inside the “La Notte Rosa” (the Pink Night) of Arezzo, which was held Friday, July 22 Vaegas organized a preview held in San Francesco Square: at the historic “Caffè dei Costanti” bar the actress and author Eleonora Danco, the journalist Luciana Maci Mina and the actress Deborah have animated a literary cocktail LIBER-IN-ROSA with readings, book presentations and theatrical improvisations.

Afterwards, Vaegas has presented Rakele dj set that accompanied the public square until midnight. In the evening, in partnership with Circù, Vaegas also presented the show FREE-MIND, by Anita Brandolini, which took place at the Bistro at the Champ de Mars, at 22.

Education, training, meetings with high schools

From March to May 2011 Vaegas has designed a series of actions and events for the College of Industrial Periti of Arezzo. We took care of communications and press office for meetings of technical training (see photographic evidence in the gallery) and we designed and implemented a parallel path towardsthe fourth and fifth classes of technical high schools in the province of Arezzo.

Tango Aperitivo

“Tango Aperitivo” at the new concept store “I love Shopping” Saturday, February 12 from 19.30.

Lorenzo and Valentina from “Tango Arezzo” school propose some dances where elegance, sensuality and seduction blend with the strength of the Argentine tango. They propose some music for listening and some for dancing.

The store will be happy to offer all participants a glass of wine of Bacchus in Tuscany.

The tango is an art form that includes music and dance born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Montevideo (Uruguay) around the second half of the 800. Typical instrument of the tango, perhaps invented or perhaps popularized by the German musician Heinrich Band, is the bandoneon, a kind of accordion of wood. Its harmonic structure is typically Italian. Half of the cultural weight of the tango originated from Italy. The names of the greatest composers from the early twentieth century until the age of gold, the ’30s and ’40s, Aníbal Troilo, Juan D’Arienzo, Osvaldo Pugliese, Francisco De Caro, are all children of Italian. The same composer and conductor Astor Piazzolla was the father of Tuscany.

Admission is FREE.

“I love shopping” opened in Arezzo in July 2010, It is located in Via Cavour, 60. The young owner, Veronica Giombetti, loves exposing clothes, accessories, furniture, various objects and works of art from various parts of Italy and Europe. Almost every object in the store is on sale, a selection is always different, a trip around the world that changes every month.

The school “Arezzo Tango” by Lorenzo Stella and Valentina Angelozzi, was founded with the intention of spreading the passion of tango in Arezzo. The school offers classes, workshops and evening milongas, all the details on courses and other initiatives www.tangoarezzo.it
